Noun plurals
Form regular plurals and recognize the most useful irregular forms.
Two productive plural endings
Many one-syllable nouns take -եր (-er), while many longer nouns take -ներ (-ner). There are important irregular forms, so vocabulary entries should be learned together with their plural when it is unusual.

Examples
Ես երեք գիրք ունեմ։Yes yerek’ girk’ unem.I have three books.Pronunciation: both k’ sounds are aspirated.
Այստեղ շատ մարդիկ կան։Aystegh shat mardik kan.There are many people here.Pronunciation: gh is a voiced throaty sound.
Այս մեքենաները նոր են։Ays mek’enanerə nor en.These cars are new.Pronunciation: k’ is aspirated; ə is a short “uh” sound.
